Dr Sharma is a Senior Associate at Khurana and Khurana. She has almost 6 years of experience in Patent prosecution and drafting with domain expertise in Life sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals. She holds a PhD degree in Biotechnology from International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, New Delhi and is a qualified Patent Agent (India). She has worked as a visiting scientist in University of Glasgow, Scotland under one-year fellowship Programme. Post
PhD, she has received several independent fellowships from UGC and DST and handled her own projects in University of Delhi, South Campus successfully. She has worked in Tier 1 law firms of India and is well versed in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications related to various technical domains such as Life Science, Biotechnology, Pharma, Chemistry and other related fields. Her practice also includes detailed analysis of the objections raised in the First Examination Report, preparing and filing responses to official actions based on inputs received from clients, attending hearings before the Controller and responding to client queries on various aspects related to Indian Patent law and practice. She is also involved in preparing and filing responses to office actions issued by foreign patent offices. Prior to joining the team of Khurana & Khurana, she worked with the firms like Sagacious IP and KnS Partners.
